touching your toes isn't that hard, you just need to work on being flexible every day.
you just need to work on it whenever you can. just like how i can now bend my finger backwards to be parallel to my hand. |

And yeah, I can touch my toes. It's no problem for me. But this is after several weeks of flexibility exercises. |

A good warm up that REALLY works your legs:
Put your entire body up against the wall right, now step back without touching the wall as little as possiable, no lean your body so your right or left leg is horizontal to your waist, and slowly, back and forth, touch your toes to the wall. Thats a whole barrel of fun I do hate to warm up with every morning. |

You know I did the whole warm up thing and I wound up touching the ground with my elbows along with touching my toes. O.o |

I can't not touch my toes, but I can put my legs behind my head.
Guess there are just certain ways people can not bend. Edit: Spelling and such |

I did it!! Last night I just bent over and touched them. I stretched all day long so that may have been a part of it. |

I'm in the army and I still can't do the ham string stretch standing correctly. You're not alone. =P
bet cha can't say hamstring stretch standing five times fast. |

I think it's probably because I have long legs. I have a friend on my track team that can put her entire palms on the ground and shes probably a good 8 inches shorter than me. However if I stretch every day I think that I may be able to touch my toes and just get more flexible. |

Time was I used to be able to put my palms on the ground with legs straight, but since I haven't done any traditional exercise in quite some time outside of getting out and just walking around or occasionally riding a bike, my hamstrings aren't used to the strain any more of reaching for my toes without bending my knees.
So in short, unless I get back to a stretching every day, I'm right there with you, NUCKLEAR. |

I can reach past my toes... for awhile there I could put my hand flat on the ground, when bending over, whilst my sister couldn't touch her toes either. |

Sometimes it is weight, sometimes flexibility, or sometimes that their legs are just too damn long. I'm a combination of all three... though periodically I can manage to touch them, it just hurts like a bitch. |

I can't touch my toes and it has never really bugged me that much but lately I have been wondering. Why? Why can't I touch my toes? Possibly that I have longer legs than other people or that I'm just not that flexible. Is it different for different people or is everybody that can't touch their toes just not flexible? |
