When you come down I'll be sure to get you a discount at the Olive Garden. We can eat there!

The chopper (a Chinook this time) did arrive until around 130 am. Once on we took off after ten minutes. 10 minutes into the flight we land in what appeared to be a field with really tall grass (in Afghan?? It WAS dark, so who knows) and picked up soldiers who I'm guessing were doing a night mission. Then we fly to another base were more people load up, only this time I saw what looked like aghan civilians being escorted on. As they got closer I notice their hands were zip tied together and had opaque goggles on so they couldn't see. Yeeeeeeah.... insurgents who had be captured. Weird, flying a detainee sitting across from you. Well, we eventually ended up back in Kandahar and I got to my room around 3 am.

Interesting Thanksgiving. Oh, and hi.

Blackhawk rides are freakin sweeeet!!! I got to have my first ride over to Ballad for a 10 mile shadow run. Then I got to ride in a chinook and sit on the edge. That was so much fun having my legs dangle over the edge. If you ever get the chance see if the pilots have an extra harness. YOU'LL LOVE IT.

And Bitmap thanks for the update. Can't wait to get home to show everyone the different person I've become. I have changed for the better from what everyone has told me.

For my second thanks giving away from the family, this one was a bit tougher. Our leadership did feed us though. It was a ton of fun having our command serve us chow at lunch. Then at dinner I had to come back again for more food. Brigadier General Buchanan (The guy that gives out the public relations and media info) came and ate with us. It was a lot of fun when I sat down and started poking fun at everyone.

On a side note... there was a cookie bar and HOMEMADE POCKY!!

I did ask about you and see if you have called or were expecting to call this past thanksgiving. This year we spent it over at Grandma's house and lemmie tell you. It was awesome.

David / Krin is doing awesome as usual. He has picked up some weight. But in a good way.

Kristen spent Black Friday with me. She was awesome as usual.

Mom and Dad were there. I left about 30 mins after your dad was there; mom and I had a hoot and a hollar over random stuff. I love mom you know that?

Grams and Grands were so very welcoming. I plan on going to church at their house every other weekend. I really need to spend more time with them. They are so awesome and so caring. Words can not explain it.

Next year's Thanksgiving I'll make it up for you. Deep fried oreos. On me. That and I am going to Tuscany Italy this March. So I will know a thing or two about cooking.

I spent my Thanksgiving on an insane road trip yesterday doing several different hikes and ended up eating chicken fried steak in a bar on Route 66 as our "official" Thanksgiving dinner.

The actual turkey and mashed potato massacre happens today for us. Huzzah...

Yeah I got a brand new PS3 at Gamestop. Traded in GOW 1-3 for a brand new copy of NBA JAM for free! Spent 280 bucks tonight! (The PS3 came with a free copy of GOW1-3 and thus I traded those three games in for NBA JAM. Cause..well you know)

Gotta love NBA JAM

So all and all I had a good night. I waited two hours to get this PS3. But godamnit I am glad I waited. Man oh man.

Nom nom nom, turkey. Hope that my stomach doesn't give me trouble. I gave myself food poisoning on Tuesday and it is still rather... squidgy.
