She too wants to be accepted... but she is willing to fight for what she wants... but she is also dealing with the death of her mother... and the unusual circumstances surrounding her death... and the blame that she feels in herself for not having been enough... not showing enough ability... but wanting to have them feel that she has done what they needed... that can rely on her and feel that she is there... and then she's paired with someone who will never acknowledge her... Rei... An emtionless doll created for the soul purpose of piloting an Eva and later for the Human Salvation project... she is slowly shown to be obdient to the letter... she cares not about her own life... merely follows orders... through interaction with the other children she is slowly filled out into more of a... human... I could go into any of the other characters but as of now I have no time so i'm going to leave it at that... If anyone else wants to talk about Eva's frailtys... I'll be happy to shoot you down and show you the true power behind... Neon Genesis Evangelion! |

Ok.. RahXephon is not fucked up... cool... maybe... fucked up... no... "You just didn't understand" granted... a little overused... but in some cases it's true... such as with shuyin... and his whole deal with shinji not being a developed character... Xeogred I can't really speak of... he tends to be well versed in the world of anime... so it could just be a prefrence thing with him... he hasn't made stupid comments on the depth and developement of the characters... Van Rahel... the whole deal of looking mechanical outside and organic inside is (SPOILER) that they technically are completely organic, the outer metalic shell of the Eva is baisically just that... a shell... armor... thus pushing this anime out of Mech genre and into pychothriller/scifi... and the creator of this series... Hideaki Anno... is one of the most reveared men of all time... and i've run out of time... so I'll continue my rant latter... |

| I missed about six in the middle and never saw the end... I'm working on redownloading the series... not going well... but my favorite alter has got to be the speed guy(can't remember his name off hand)... little known part of his alter... a covering on his legs much like the one that Kazuma has on his Arm... I read the manga and that was pretty good... but nowhere near as good as the series... | |||

| EXACTLY... well kinda... anyway... ya... they do... and people who don't like the series become biased against it quickly... the movie is the best anime movie I've ever seen... with more content in 1 1/2 hours than most animes have in 13 hours... and I can say you don't understand... hell I had to watch it three times before I understood... It is a psychotic anime... and it is very confusing... what I suggest... If you don't like it... watch it again... then one more time... It'll make sense... just do it... | |||

| I've heard just about everyone complain about dubbing... Personally I've never really heard any bad dubbing... it's just different... It's not like they can really keep the voices the same... so I watch it... and I don't have a problem with it... what do you think? | |||

| wow... you don't know me very well do you... I've seen more anime then most fans would want to have seen... I've loved almost all of them... none of them have quite reached the level of Eva... but they've all been very good... FLCL... also reigned as one of the best anime's ever... and I agree... If it weren't for the fact that it's so short I would probably say it is the best anime... But... unfortunately it isn't... another good one is Last Exile... An extremely awesome series... but Eva is still better... Believe me... you name an anime you think i'll like more than Eva and I'll tell you what I think... you keep telling me to watch more anime... but you don't specify anything... give me something specific... | |||

| I don't watch nothing but Dubs... i watch baisically an even mix of Dub and Sub and i have never seen a time where the "voice doesn't match the original character" and there is nothing about effort in it... These voice actors put more effort into their job than most of our big name actors do their movies... so don't talk about effort... I've seen these people at work... and I don't mean on DVD extra's... | |||

Thanks... *as he turns around looking at them he notices the policestation just in the distance* Hey... there it is... *As they pull into the parking lot they see massive amounts of zombies crowding the streets and nearby buildings, Kyle quickly jumps out of the truck quickly bringing the shotgun up to his shoulder aiming it at the nearest clump of zombies, he pulls the trigger and is immeadietly thrown back against the truck by the force of the shot, three zombies are also knocked back, falling to the ground deader than before, two others stumble back a little but are still up* Aww crap... | Ok... I'll agree with Elara... A lot can be lost in translation... I to... Prefer natural Japanese... and to be fair there are a couple of really bad dubs... *COUGH* Escaflowne on the WB *COUGH* But I'm sick and tired of people complaining about the perfectly good ones... such as Inuyasha... I have heard so many people complain about that one that it's just not even funny... there is nothing wrong with it... Ya... the voices are different... but not as much as every one says... believe me... i've tested it... and they are actually fairly close... | |||
