I saw a movie called Street Trash. It's about hobos, and this crazy booze that makes them melt. It also has to do with Viet Nam flashbacks, a junkyard/hobo residence, and really doesn't have much of a plot. Supposedly the actors are from a Shakespearian company. Anyway, this is the stupidest movie ever, in a good or bad way. I think the best/stupidest scene is when one of the hobos melts on and in a toilet as he's flushing it, and turns into a purple mess with the Toxic Avenger face. This actually exists. |

Originally posted by Lord XSeems like it'll be fun, though. Crazy action is easy to watch. First one was sweet. Second was fun too. Haven't seen that one. Don't really want to, either. As for dumb movie moments, in Die Hard 1, when the villain was putting on his hostage act. It was so lame and annoying (and fake, thus why he was so easily figured out). |

A lot of the stuff in the first DIe Hard. I mean, it's a great movie, but there are some bad parts. Like when Bruce Willis radio's in the emergency channel saying that the terrorist have take the building with at least 30 hostages.
"Sir this is an emergency channel only." "This doesn't sound like a fucking emergency?!" "Sir, this is for emergencies only. If you have a problem, use your phone and dial 911." |

donnie darko, chirita chan's interpretive dance
god how I HATE interpretive dance. yes I realize[realise?] that that scene was meant to cement what an outcast she was but it still sucked. and basically every horror-type movie in existence that involves some dumb bitch walking around at what must be four in the morning because god knows there is not another soul on the street she's walking down, who is COMPELLED to go and investigate even the tiniest scuffling, clinking, or sniffing noise coming from a dark drippy alleyway or under a bridge or in the open door of a large get-away-van with rape-mo-bile spraypainted on the side, instead of walking the rest of the block to her HOUSE! jesus |

However the worst droid scene with R2 and C3PO was in Episode II, when they were in that huge factory. That was just ... ridiculous. I'd rather watch an hour of pod racing. |

Episode III, despite being great in many ways, had MANY dumb moments. XD
The droid's voices...augh. xP |

Originally posted by MasterSylar Haha, I was right there with you on that one. But I also want to add to this how the medic droid that was with Padme as she was giving birth to Luke and Leia said Padme has "lost the will to live." What the hell? "Anakin, you're breaking my heart" |

When R2-D2 shoots out that oil or whatever it was at those droids at the beginning of Episode III. My love for R2 was almost completely destroyed there. |

Originally posted by Blue PikminOriginally posted by Rogue I guess there's just a fine line between stupid movies and stupid things happening in movies. *Shrugs* Another dumb thing that's happened in a movie: I gotta go with the Mimura's death in Battle Royale. He and two other guys spend the whole movie building this bomb, following a freedom fighter dream, then when they pile all of the things in the back of a truck to go blow up the school, they get killed and then Mimura in a final effort to get rid of the bad guys, hits the front bumper of the truck and somehow the whole thing blows up. |

Originally posted by Rogue Because this thread was supposed to be about stupid things in movies. Not even bad movies. Just, things. But people started talking about bad movies... |

Oh jeez, didn't we address all these things in the Utterly Bad Movies thread? The video I posted even made it here again.
Anyway, as for stupid things in movies, for now I'm going with everything in Goth Industrial Mayhem. If only I could find a copy of it. There's this random scene where this guy is about to eat cereal and he starts pulling on this rope for milk. The rope is attached to a woman's breast and as he keeps pulling on it, the boob squirts milk into his cereal bowl. Yep... |

Originally posted by True FlightIt's the Pink Panther. It's meant to be silly. If you're talking about the new one with Steve Martin, I can understand any sort of dislike towards the movie, but the old ones were great. *sniff* In Transporter 2 when he got the bomb off the bottom of his car by going off a ramp, doing a barrel roll, and getting a crane to snatch it off. I basically laughed when that happened. Transporter 2 was obviously intended to be really corny and silly like that (if they were trying to make a somewhat serious action movie, then that's really bad), but ... come on, that was just dumb. XD |

Originally posted by Blue Pikmin I can explain that one in very technical detail.... Jean Reno is awesome. I would have to say the stupidest thing in ANY movie has to be in Guyver 2: Dark Hero. Guyver does a flip-spin off of a second story, landing with his back to the enemy and spins around to face them. I mean, what a useless move! I guess that he gets away with it for being David Hayter, but whatever.... |
