I guess I should have rephrased my statement with "where was A mailing list. It wouldn't be a bad idea to come up with one, because if something like that happens again you can inform everyone. Boards lose a lot of people not from disasters, but from the lack of information put out to them about a change in the URL. You create something new and suddenly you find that not everybody came back. It not that they didn't want to, it's that they didn't know where the new place is at. |

Exactly what it says, a list of people to E-mail about the site being down. It never happened because it was a minor hassle. ;D |

Personally I like the new URL better since it's more simple but not having the old one will create a lot of confusion. Glad I found the site again. Just felt like doing one more google search. |

It was a totally unwanted URL change. I still can't buy the old one even though it's like 3-4 months or something later from when I should've been. It's basically out of my power to do anything, but I apologize. If you know some people who might not know about the new URL, let them know! |

Ok so I use Firefox for all my browsing needs and on my bookmarks toolbar I had a link to Xeogaming. The link was to www.board.xeogaming.net and one day I clicked on it and it said it couldn't find the server. I tried several times and then figured that the server was down or something. Then after a month or two I though that the site had actually died... needless to say I'm glad it didn't. URL Change? |
