| Now that the layouts update every post you have made using one, it becomes rather bothersome for me when I am changing my layout and it isn't complete. Everyone would have to deal with it being changed and edited. Sure, it's not a big deal, but a solution has been thought of.
Would it be difficult to incorporate a 'Preview Layout' button, or something along the same lines? That way we can see what is going on before we decide to save the changes to the board. |

| Yeah, that's what I usually do. Just type it up in Edit Profile, save the changes (another window in Edit Profile open with the original layout, in case I screw up horribly) and see what it looks like. The only reason I suggested the Preview Layout button was so when someone was editing it, their posts weren't ridiculous if the layout had a lot of work needed. | |||

| Well, I've been so busy with real life (I know, there is one away from the board) that I had mainly forgotten to send our dear friend, Elder Vulkas Mormonous, a letter. Sure, it had swam to the front of my mind, but was quickly swept away by work and other various stressing issues.
In any case, I went downstairs today and my mom informed me a letter had come for me from California. At first, I had no idea who would be mailing me. Doubt turned to surprise, however, and I sped across the rest of the room as one thought filled my mind: 'That crazy mormon sent me a letter!'. Sure enough, the return address was signed by Alex Tigges. Now, for the reason of putting this thread in the Sim/RP Discussion. You see, Vulkar did not just send me a letter; no. Vulkar decided that we were going to have a long distance simbattle via these letters. We had joked about the idea before, but it never became anything I thought to be serious. So, in the thread I am going to post in the Arena, I will be posting both mine and Vulkar's responses. Starting off will be him, and I will quote word for word what his hand-written letter says. He could hear children in the park nearby, laughing merrily as they moved about the playground, performing acrobatic tricks that Alex could only dream of doing without supernatural assistance. A tear ran down his eye. These children would soon see horrors no child should be exposed to. Feel pain that none should feel. No. Be at peace. Calm, enjoy the moment, though it may be these children's last. Be calm. He stood on a sidewalk, across from this small neighborhood park. Houses one side of a street, a park on the other. Houses hat would soon burn. Houses that would burn because of him. No, he had no choice. Houses had already burned. Children already died. This had to be the end. This battle must be fought. | Muffled buzzing filled the ears of Miles as he awoke. He made to swat at the insect that was surely flying about his ears and was surprised when he had no feeling in his arms. Everything was cold all over, including the air being breathed into his lungs. There was a familiar scent in the air, and it took a moment for his mind to register what it was.
Cyro sleep. Of course. The chemical smell in the air was remnants of cyro sleep. His mind still grinding gears like a car first started in the dead of winter, Miles' eyes flicked open. Before him was a dark room filled with what appeared to be other people. A lanky boy walked within his view and sat in a corner, looking mightily depressed. Teenagers, thought Miles. With his limbs heated up, the man took a step out of the pod, his long hair dangling in front of his face as he stumbled. Righting himself, he looked around the room, studying everyone. "I do not believe I know a single one of you," he declared matter-of-factly. With a content expression on his face as though he had just solved the cure for an irreversible disease, Miles turned back to his pod and began ruffling through the shelves. Within a few moments, he was dressed in a tan sweater vest with a white button up below, the sleeves rolled up. His pants were bell bottomed, and toes poked out of the light sandals worn on his feet. With a final glance into his locker, Miles pulled a small bag out, its contents jingling lightly as it got stuck on the frame. The bag declared him Doctor Agenome. |
