I haven't seen the movie yet, but I will be here soon. (Shinobi's party, the user, not the Ninja, but I know him too)
I've heard both good and bad things about it. But hey, it's from the creators of Shaolin Soccer ... can it really be horrible? Honestly it looks pretty good in my opinion. Well once I get back (tommorow sometime), I'll post my thoughts on what I thought of it. |

One of the many Pac media films I picked up before the rage hit the US...
I love it. Everyone I've shown my copy to has loved it. Stephen Chow is brilliant. Again this is another film that appeases the fans in particular. I especially loved Qiu Yuen's part and the story that goes along with how she got the part. |

Are there any other Stephan Chow movies out there? (Man, Steven's rock )
But yeah, I totally loved this movie. I'd even say I enjoyed it more than Shaolin Soccer. Great humor, and totally awesome fighting (even though it's very very fake, but hey it's Stephan Chow) I liked the paradies too, especially the frequent Matrix ones. Very good movie. I'd recommend it to Kung Fu film fans of any kind. |

Originally posted by Darth Xeodious It was a very good movie and the only Stephen Chow films that are out are Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle hopefully we'll see more in the future. I liked the action scenes better in Kun Fu Hustle than Shaolin Soccer basiclly because its actual action unlike Shaolin Soccer where its just super soccer fighting scenes. I thought shaolin had more humor and comedy. I also like how Stephen Chow directs and acts in both of his movies adds more depth to it. If you liked Shaolin Soccer or kung fu movies I highly recommend this movie (just like what xeo said). |

I've wanted to make this thread, but i've been to lazy. :-P
Kung Fu Hustle is the funniest movie i've seen in a long time. I haven't laughed that much in awhile. The cartoon humor in it wasn't every to much, and it had a pretty good story. Stephen Chow is great director and his movies are always orginal. |

Originally posted by Shuyin I actually thought it was pretty funny when the screaming girl, and the Buddhist Palm user (sorry forgot their names) were running, cartoon style. It just looked so stupid I thought it was hilarious. |

Chow's directed other films like King of Comedy, Forbidden City Cop, God of Cookery, From Beijing with Love, and King of Destruction. He's mostly well-known for Shaolin Soccer, though, because a huge following was developed here for it before Miramax put out the official US Region 1 DVDs.
Chow's a veteran martial arts film star, hence his uncanny ability to make mock versions like Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle (both where he plays the main character "Sing"). I truly believe he's brilliant. |

He is, especially since he really does resemble Bruce Lee in some parts.
(Assuming he portray's Bruce Lee in some parts of Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle) |

Well in Shaolin Soccer, especially, Chow instilled a character that was meant specifically to be an homage to Bruce Lee (the goalie, out-of-work brother). His hair is cut just like Lee's and he wears a Game of Death jumpsuit for his uniform and when he's being carried away after getting injured in the big game against Team Evil, he puts on the same fashion of sunglasses Bruce Lee wore all the time and lie in the same way Bruce Lee did in his coffin in Hong Kong. Originally posted by Zaphod Beeblebrox That's pretty cool though that they did that...I've seen like all the Bruce Lee movies and all....they're pretty good and he was an absolutely amazing man...now that Sholin Soccer movie, I haven't seen it and don't remember it being in theaters or anything, but I did hear of it and heard that it was insanely hilarious. Now this movie, Kung Fu Hustle...I've heard personally from people who have seen it that it was fucking kickass too....so I really look foreward to trying to get to the movies to see this one |
