Have you played Civilization III? My dad has been totally addicted to it since the day we got it, and I probably would be too if it worked on this computer...I think the CD is damaged, it looks scratched.

I think the Zelda series as a whole has stolen my life. When I first got LTTP, I played that game all the time. The same thing happened with Kirby's Adventure, even though some of the bosses scared the hell out of me. (particularly, the ones the pick up Kirby and beat the living crap out of him) (keep in mind, I was about 6 years old at the time)

Actually, I have all the Civilization games, and I still think that Alpha Centauri beats all.

For N64 - Godleneye 007, Perfect Dark, Shadows of The Empire. 2 months each...

Playstation - Final Fantasy 7, 8 & 9. Vagrant Story, Parasite Eve 1 & 2, Chrono Cross. these games combined would be about 2 years. (I used to bring my PS to my old job when I used to work nights.)

I've really been wanting to get one of the Parasite Eve games, I probably will within the next couple of days ...

That, and the Fear Effect series looked really good, good seres that I missed out on during the PSX era (because they were rated M, and I was too young, my parents wouldn't allow it. )

I can definitely agree with Vagrant Story, even though I still haven't beaten that game, when I first started playing it I was really pulled in for a long time.

As for more recent titles, Resident Evil 4 was a game that pulled me in and prevented me from playing anything but it. It's rare I ever play a game as good as RE4, but that game was masterpeice.

The games I remember playing as a little kid were on Atari, it was some helocopter game that you had three tries to bet with a controller that was a nob that turned about an 8th of an inch to the right or left and one button that shot one bullet at a time and it wouldn't shoot another till the first one is off the screen and if you die you start from the begining because there no save points! Yes that is what I remember starting with from ages 5 through 8. Then learned about NES which I didnt get till it was about 3 or so years out then a Sega now I just play Counter Strike on the PC.

All the DOnkey Kong games took me over until I beat them. I love DK and Mario, but I often don't beat Mario because I suck. lol.

Donkey Kong Country drove me fucking batty... I played that thing for so long that I wanted to through the damn thing out the window after I died.

Oh yeah, and Super Mario World... only Mario game I've beaten, since Luigi's Mansion doesn't count in my opinion.
